Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I sign up for a class?

Either Call or email to arrange your FREE CLASS. If your child enjoys the class you can then book in for the remaining classes in the block to reserve your place for future classes.

2. Do I have to sign up for a course?

After a free trial, we take payment in half-term blocks (usually 6-8 weeks).

3. Do I join in with the class?

We ask that parents join in/sit beside children in the Dancing Diddies 1 classes (16 months - 3 years). As your child progresses to Dancing Diddies 2 or Mini stars beyond, and their confidence and ability grows, they will be encouraged to move from parent-supported involvement to a more independent level of participation, as and when, both you and they feel the time is right.

4. What does my child need to wear?

Children need non slip shoes, and may wear anything they feel comfortable in that allows them to move freely.

For the RAD Pre-Primary Ballet class children will be required to wear a set ballet uniform, details of this can be obtained by contacting eve@dancingdays.co.uk

5. What style of dance is involved?

DANCING DIDDIES: These classes do not focus on a particular dance style. In accordance with the EYFS, our emphasis is on fun, whilst developing creativity, exploring movement, and matching movements to music. We aim to develop confidence, coordination and spatial awareness.

MINI STARS and TWIRLING BALLERINAS: These are informal ballet classes.

RAD BALLET: These are formal ballet classes

STREETDANCE: These classes look at the basics (and beyond) of street, locking, popping and breaking.

6. How much does it cost?

Call or email to confirm a place is available to attend a free trial.

If after the trial, you wish to sign up, classes are £4.00 each and must be paid for in half-term blocks.

7. Can I pay class-by-class?

Due to high demand for classes, unfortunately we no longer able to offer a pay-as-you-go option. In order to ensure a high quality experience we have a limit on class numbers, and classes must now be paid for in half-term blocks to secure one of our limited spaces.

We offer a send a frined scheme, so if your child is unable to come along to class, you can send someone in their place to avoid wasting the pre paid class.

8. Does my child have to enter their RAD ballet exams?

The RAD classes offer the children the opportunity to work towards the exams, and enter in their own time. It in no way a prerequisite of the class that they have to enter, and progression from the Pre Primary to the Primary class is not dependant on passing an exam. They can move up if their age dictates readiness.
